Town Square was honored on June 11, 2009 at the Seneca Democratic Club's 110th anniversary celebration. Town Square Chairperson Susan Anderson, as well as Town Square directors and community members, were in attendance to receive the community service award. Brooklyn Borough Proclamation for Go Green! Greenpoint Festival
2008 & 2011
At Town Square Inc.'s first Go Green! Greenpoint! Festival, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz honored Town Square by declaring Saturday, April 19th, 2008"Town Square's Go Green Greenpoint! Earth Day Festival Celebration" in Brooklyn. Town Square was subsequently honored again in 2011.
Lucy Burns Activist Award
2009
In March 2009, Town Square Chairperson Susan Anderson was honored with the Lucy Burns Activist Award for her dedication to the Greenpoint and Williamsburg community.
Susan was one of six women honored by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz at the Women’s Herstory Induction Ceremony at Borough Hall.
Seneca Club's Woman of the Year 2007
In 2007, Susan Anderson was honored by the Seneca Democratic Club, with the "Woman of the Year Award,"
for all her hard work in organizing and creating Town Square Inc.
